As the air whistled by on that dreary night
I saw a shadow lurking about
Tis merely the trees shadow cast by the waning moon.
I thought to myself
Until the shadow whispered
I am the one you seek in yourself, I am your true being.
At that I screamed.
The shadow said, Do not be afraid. Come with me to a place where you are free.
And the floor creaked as I followed
It led me to the tree outside
Where I saw a noose dangling
Slowly I rose up to the nooses level
And jumped.
A whimper escaped my throat
Then I was flying with that Dark Shadow.
